The 12th Session of the Guike Reading Club: Launch Event for “Corporate Law That Everyone Can Understand”
Editor’s Reflections

Liu Hong, Member of the Zhiheng National Strategy Committee, Deputy Director of the Zhiheng Headquarters Management Committee, and Director of the Corporate Legal Affairs Center.
As the chief editor of “Corporate Law Made Easy for Everyone,” Director Liu Hong reviewed the book’s development process—from its conceptualization in March 2024 to its official publication and launch in December 2024. Over this period, 56 contributors, while managing their day-to-day work, completed the writing of 100 practical case studies, conducted three rounds of review and editing, and meticulously refined the manuscript through every stage of production. The result is a testament to collective wisdom, aimed at dismantling the barriers of legal jargon and using plain language to help business leaders and readers alike grasp the essential principles and core concepts of corporate law.
The author reflects on their insights.

The executive and associate editors of “Corporate Law for Everyone” took to the stage to share their reflections. They noted that striking a balance between technical accuracy and accessibility was the greatest challenge during the writing process. By moving away from legal jargon and employing diagrams, case studies, and plain, conversational language to break down statutory provisions, the book focuses on 100 core issues—ranging from corporate charters and nominee shareholding to control‑structure design—thereby transforming complex legal content into an easily digestible knowledge resource for general readers.
The Prefacer Discusses His Impressions

Liu Guiming, Vice Director of the Expert Committee of “The Era of Rule of Law,” President of Guike Academy, and author of the foreword to “Corporate Law That Everyone Can Understand”
Dean Liu Guiming defined “Corporate Law That Everyone Can Understand” with three key words: timely help, open course, and handy reference. The promulgation of the new Company Law has had a significant impact on corporate compliance and strategic decision-making, creating an urgent need for accessible and easy-to-understand interpretations. “Company Law That Everyone Can Understand” has come as a much-needed resource, bridging the gap between legal practice and public understanding.
We look forward to the Zhicheng Law Center of Zhicheng Company continuing to produce even more outstanding works and achieving abundant professional results in the future. Each word was filled with hope and expectation.

He also suggested adapting the book’s content into short video courses to reach a broader audience of corporate clients, thereby converting written material into video format and achieving a second leap in public legal education. The words of wisdom are filled with warmth.

He also expressed his anticipation that Zhiheng’s Corporate Legal Affairs Center will continue to produce monographs on corporate legal practice, guiding Zhiheng professionals—and the broader legal community—in exploring new approaches and innovative methods for professional research and public legal education.
Heartfelt words, deeply cherished in my heart.

Li Junqiang, Director of the Innovation Committee of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association and Director of the Longgang Management Committee of Zhiheng.

’s Legal Affairs Center was able to unite its members, pool their collective wisdom, and successfully publish such a book—combining both professional rigor and accessibility—in less than a year is a testament to the firm’s unwavering commitment to deepening its expertise and forging ahead with determination.
We look forward to the Company Legal Affairs Center continuing to publish specialized monographs and expanding their scope, and we also anticipate closer collaboration between the Company Legal Affairs Center and the Zhiheng National Environmental Law Service Research Center in jointly exploring issues such as corporate environmental compliance. Sincere feedback that inspires and motivates.
