at the beginning of the event, Director Zhang Shanhua took the stage to give a welcome speech. With the deepening of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the surge in cross-border economic and trade cooperation, traditional litigation procedures have shortcomings in efficiency, cost and international recognition. International arbitration relies on flexible rules and efficient implementation. Such advantages have become one of the key tools to resolve transnational disputes of Chinese companies, and are an important support for escorting Chinese companies to sea.
Director Zhang Shanhua specifically mentioned President Xi's instructions on "building a world-class arbitration institution" and proposed that the establishment of independent and controllable international arbitration rules and arbitration institutions, arbitration to the international is an important national strategic decision. Pan Lingji called on Chinese lawyers to take the initiative to participate in international rule-making and to embed arbitration clauses into the strategy of enterprises going out to sea.
