Recently, the 18th Shangquan Criminal Defense Forum was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The theme of the forum was "Criminal Procedure Law Revision and Defense System Improvement", which was conducted in a combination of offline and online. Director Zhang Nan Nan spoke at the "Evidence Defense and Evidence System Improvement" and discussion session in the fourth unit of the 18th Shangquan Criminal Defense Forum. Director Zhang Nan Nan believes that lawyers should be good at applying criminal evidence rules when defending evidence. Taking pro-case cases as an example, he particularly emphasized the importance of "objective evidence is better than subjective evidence" and rules of thumb.

As far as the legislative prospect of the evidence system is concerned, Director Zhang Nannan proposed that the rules for witnesses to testify in court should be improved and the "original" rules specially for physical evidence should be established.
