On the afternoon of August 11, 2023, a lecture on "Cross-Protection of Corporate Trade Secrets between Criminal and Criminal Persons" jointly organized by Zhiheng Intellectual Property Center and Criminal Center was successfully held in the Zhiheng Conference Room. The lecture was delivered by Wang Qionghua, Secretary General of the Intellectual Property Center and Deputy Director of the Copyright Committee, and Zhou Xiaojie, Director of the Trade Secret Legal Professional Committee.

Li Weixiang, Director of Intellectual Property Center

Director Li Weixiang gave a speech on the stage. This lecture is the first joint event jointly organized by the Criminal Center and the Intellectual Property Center, which is a very good start. Director Li Weixiang said that in the future, various professional centers can often jointly hold case study activities. The collision of different thinking can allow lawyers to open their minds and improve their professionalism, so as to better serve customers.

Director Zhang Nan Nan delivered a speech on the stage. Trade secret protection has increasingly become a manifestation of the core competitiveness of enterprises. However, many enterprises lack experience in dealing with risks such as technological leakage and personnel loss, and urgently need professional legal guidance. Therefore, this lecture is very timely and necessary. Director Zhang Nan Nan expressed the expectation that the centers will organize more high-quality exchange activities in the future, strengthen cooperation, and achieve joint services.

Lawyer Wang Qionghua shared the topic "Cross-practice Issues and Responses to Criminal and Civil Protection of Trade Secrets", systematically sorted out the classification, handling rules, application of evidence and other issues of the case, emphasizing that the right holder should choose a litigation strategy that is in line with the actual situation of the case. Lawyer Wang Qionghua said that for technical information trade secret cases, the handling method of "punishing the people first", "punishing the people first", "punishing the people first" or "punishing the people in parallel" can be considered to maximize the protection of the rights and interests of the right holder.

Lawyer Zhou Xiaojie's sharing theme is "From the typical cases of trade secrets being preemptively patented, reflecting on the protection of core technologies of enterprises". Lawyer Zhou Xiaojie analyzes the typical cases of trade secrets being preemptively patented by others around the intellectual property protection issues in the process of listing of science and technology innovation enterprises.

Lawyer Zhou Xiaojie suggested that enterprises can start from two aspects: technical protection and talent management, and use criminal and civil litigation methods to counter their opponents and protect their legitimate rights and interests.
