The inaugural meeting of Zhiheng Intellectual Property Center was successfully held

At 3:00 p.m. on October 20, 2022, the Intellectual Property Center of

held its inaugural meeting in the main conference room at Zhiheng’s Shenzhen headquarters (22nd floor, Guangdian Financial Center). This conference was chaired by Xu Baoyan from the Personnel Department.

At the outset of the meeting, Chai Yongxia, Executive Director of

’s headquarters, delivered a speech. Director Chai stated that the establishment of the Intellectual Property Center marks a significant turning point in Zhiheng’s transformation following its restructuring in 2022, signaling the beginning of a new chapter for the firm and laying the groundwork for the subsequent establishment of legal service centers at its branches nationwide.

Director Chai hopes that, upon its establishment, the Intellectual Property Center, under the leadership of Director Li, will operate through fair and open mechanisms, leverage professional expertise to drive scale, and be developed into a flagship team within Zhiheng.

Director Zhang Shanhuá, due to a busy schedule, was unable to attend the inaugural meeting in person; however, he extended his congratulations on the establishment of the Intellectual Property Center via video and expressed his anticipation for its future.

Subsequently, Li Weixiang, founding partner of

and director of its Intellectual Property Center, along with Deputy Director Zhang Ping, took the floor. Director Li put forward five key ideas and nine specific requirements for the Zhiheng Intellectual Property Center, and expressed his hope that the center will seize the momentum to set sail and, in the near future, become one of the leading intellectual property legal service centers in China and worldwide.

Director Zhang stated in his speech that the establishment of the Intellectual Property Center has brought together professionals from various fields, fostering mutual exchange and integration. In the future, Zhiheng’s full-industry-chain intellectual property services are bound to see a significant enhancement. The Intellectual Property Center will embrace an inclusive and open approach, welcoming everyone and truly providing end-to-end services across the entire intellectual property value chain.

’s headquarters, along with Li Weixiang, Director of the Intellectual Property Center, Deputy Director Zhang Ping, and Attorney Liu Yunfa, jointly took to the stage to unveil the plaque.

Next, Executive Director Chai Yongxia, Director of the Intellectual Property Center Li Weixiang, and Attorney Liu Yunfa presented the appointment certificates to the attorneys. The director, deputy director, and secretary-general of the Intellectual Property Center were elected by all participating lawyers through a secret ballot, following multiple rounds of selection and intense competition. This was a fair, impartial, and transparent democratic election.

Director Chai Yongxia presented the appointment certificate to the head of the Intellectual Property Center.

Director Li Weixiang presented the appointment certificate to the director of the special committee.

Director Zhang Ping and Attorney Liu Yunfa presented certificates to the heads of all departments at the Intellectual Property Center.

The final item on the agenda: appointment speeches by the directors of various specialized committees and departments (Patent Committee, Trademark Committee, Copyright Committee, Trade Secrets Committee, Basic Applications Department, Operations and Transactions Department, Layout and Analysis Department, International Department).
