On December 1, 2023, the client presented the Zhang Nannan Criminal Defense Team with a banner reading “Fulfilling Trust, Winning Through Professionalism” to express their gratitude. The person involved has been placed under criminal investigation for allegedly operating an illegal casino. The Zhang Nannan Criminal Defense Team, in accordance with the law, accepted the client’s commission to represent this case. After thorough deliberation and multiple consultations with the investigating authorities, the team drafted and submitted a written defense opinion arguing against the issuance of an arrest warrant, ultimately leading the procuratorial organ to decide not to approve the arrest.

On December 6, 2023, the client presented the Zhang Nannan Criminal Defense Team with a banner reading “Exquisite Professional Knowledge, Noble Moral Character” to express their gratitude. The individual was detained in December 2021 on suspicion of the crime of manipulating the securities market and was transferred to the court for prosecution in December 2022.

, representing Dongguan Company A in its dispute with Shenzhen Company B and Liu regarding the infringement of trade secrets, have secured a final favorable judgment from the Supreme People’s Court. This case is a complex and challenging dispute involving infringement of trade secrets, raising several contentious issues in judicial practice, including whether the “non-public nature” requirement is met in trade‑secret cases, how to assess the relationship between confidentiality and patent novelty, and how to properly interpret and apply Article
32of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law.
Following meticulous and rigorous case analysis and argumentation by Zhiheng Attorneys, the Supreme People’s Court ultimately adopted our client’s position, holding in its final judgment that the opposing party had infringed upon a trade secret and was therefore liable to cease the infringement and compensate for damages. The Court reversed the first-instance judgment and rendered a favorable verdict for our client, making this one of the rare cases at the Supreme People’s Court where the original judgment was directly overturned and the case remanded with a new ruling in favor of the plaintiff.
