Recently, Zhiheng Longhua Law Firm (hereinafter referred to as “Zhiheng Longhua”) held a Mid-Autumn and National Day welcome event for new recruits, along with a case study seminar organized by the Criminal Practice Department of Zhiheng Longhua. The event seamlessly integrated an orientation ceremony, professional seminars, and festive celebrations, creating a vibrant yet warm atmosphere.

At the outset of the event, Director Xu Mingzi delivered the opening address. Lawyers temporarily set aside their case files and legal documents to hand-make mooncakes, savoring the cultural significance of this traditional festival amid laughter and merriment, while also strengthening the bonds among themselves.

The event concluded with the eleventh session of the Zhiheng Longhua Criminal Law Department’s activities: a seminar on typical cases. Attorneys Fang Qihuan and Lei Shuai each presented a recent, high-profile case—one involving “lease‑to‑finance” fraud and the other a “wage‑collection‑style extortion”—and raised several questions regarding the legal characterization, sentencing, and investigative strategies. The attending attorneys engaged in a vigorous discussion on related legal issues, professional experience, and collaborative practice, creating a vibrant academic atmosphere and leaving everyone with valuable insights.
