To strengthen the management and utilization of named funds and enhance the legal literacy and professional competence of staff in the charitable sector of Longgang District, a specialized training session on charity organized by the Longgang District Civil Affairs Bureau was successfully held at the Longgang District Party-Mass Service Center on April 18, 2024.

Zhiheng (Longgang) Law Firm, serving as the Legal Service Studio for Social Organizations under the Longgang District Civil Affairs Bureau, had attorneys Chen Zezhu and Chen Huai’ai—members of the studio—invited by the Charity Federation to participate in this event. Attorney Chen Huai’ai delivered a presentation on “Key Amendments to the New Charity Law and Practical Analysis of Donation Taxation.”

Attorney Chen Hua’ai used the legislative revision process of the Charity Law as a starting point. By explaining the newly revised oversight mechanisms, the actors involved in charitable activities, and measures for charitable organizations, she clearly and comprehensively shared with the attendees the main contents and historical advancements of the amended Charity Law. Subsequently, by drawing on cases involving public-interest donations and tax‑related examples for different types of donated items, she provided legal clarifications on issues pertaining to donation taxation, thereby enriching the format of the presentation.

This sharing session further strengthens the publicity and popularization of the Charity Law of the People's Republic of China (Amendment), helping to promote the high-quality development of charitable and public welfare initiatives in the district.
