Zhiheng was founded in 1995 as one of China’s earliest partnership law firms. In 2022 the firm began a strategic transformation led by a professional management team, moving into the Guangdian Financial Center—an anchor of Shenzhen’s CBD and future financial core—with nearly 6,000 m² across floors 21–22, renewing brand and workplace with an international outlook and completing the leap from a boutique firm to a full-service practice.
After more than thirty years of growth, Zhiheng has become a large comprehensive firm with over 2,400 professionals and 31+ offices at home and abroad, ranking second in Guangdong by scale and 22nd among China’s large firms. The team brings deep industry experience, advanced degrees from leading universities, and multidisciplinary backgrounds in law, finance and tax, with many lawyers qualified for multilingual and cross-border work.

Following the strategy “from Shenzhen across China, from Hong Kong to the world,” Zhiheng has offices in major Chinese cities and in Jakarta, Singapore, Vietnam and South Africa, with further sites underway. In cross-border practice, Zhiheng established the Greater Bay Area’s first Sino-foreign joint office; Zhiheng Hong Kong is among the leading Chinese firms in Hong Kong, with 50 Registered Foreign Lawyers (RFL).
